Microsoft mouse not working correctly after today's Windows update

I am using Comfort Mouse 4500 with the buttons switched for left handed use. Mouse is usb attached. The buttons will not always work, or appear to have a big delay when switching between windows.I have checked for updated drivers, and have the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center installed.
