Microsoft have locked my phone! Please help.

I set up a new PC. Answered all questions for Windows 11. Sadly, for extra security, entered my phone number. Pressed NEXT. Entered my phone number again. Microsoft then requested a pin. To heck with that. Pressed the back arrows without entering a pin. Now my phone is LOCKED. It says "enter pin". I don't have a pin! I never set one up.Can anyone help?? I have removed my phone online with Microsoft as an added device. But it is still locked. Wish I had never tried for so-called extra security. Help please if you can.
