I really wish i could send a message directly to microsoft leads themselves about my experience updating to Windows 10. Its was horrible. It got stuck on the "checking for updates" during the install process for hours. I didn't dare mess with the **** installation process for fear of permanently damaging the install, and there WAS NO OPTION TO CANCEL OR PAUSE. It just sat there for hours. I was on an excellent connection, but i could not stay that location so tried to shut the system down, but the install process wouldn't allow the shut down so eventually i had to hard reset the **** laptop right in the middle of a system installation!
So whats is the plan here Microsoft? You are going to rearrange your windows and buttons each time you want more of our money we worked for? ..but your not even going to do us the favor of delivering a competently delivered experience free of frustration in a world where in America alone 40,000 people are so unhappy they **** decide to kill themselves each year? (200,000 attempts and those being just those who THAT unhappy) Is your plan dismissing the needs and desires of a significant portion of the wide variety of your users with this **** "hey, wouldn't it be nice if everyone used the computer just like i do in my mansion" ****?
Was that just a singular glitch i encountered? I think not, because the rest of what i've seen in Windows 10 speaks of negligent decision making.
Why do you have not have manual updating? With your software like it is, you have made it so the simple act of entering a public place with wifi and turning on my laptop actually makes my mere presence a detriment to others. Why would that be? You might not know because of your incompetence i understand. Its because, you **** sacks of ignorant worthless **** who deserve none of the money you make, most wifi connections are tiny and fragile at best. Ever had a downloader, stuck a 0% progress, completely halt the operation of a wifi hotspot for everyone? Ever had your download of 200kbs (1/10th the normal capacity) completely f up other people ability to use the internet. I'm guessing your not experienced enough for that, (despite microsoft's upper echelon taking home a massively disproportionate share of the fruits of everyone's labor day after day despite being complete hacks pursuing only the most obvious improvement that are right in front of everyone's face, and by the way, doing so in a society where money is basically the foundation for happiness and avoiding stress). Your solution, amid society made up of fragile wifi spots, is to have us set each connection we make to "metered", which i presume by the use of the name (wouldn't be surprised if i was wrong due to the incompetency ) still downloads a little bit in "the background"?
So, in W10, my mere presence with my laptop will negatively affect others in public places... and each W10 user's system will be hammering the **** tiny wifi connection each time they boot up their laptops, along with the loads of software running in "the background" ?
You don't even have a **** "default" all new connections to metered?
You don't have an........on/off update toggle switch? No manual updating.
There was nothing wrong with the old system. Of course, unless your willing to become a small blight on society in effort to pursue that extra gram of cash you save by reducing the support requests due to people not having the latest updates.
Similar problem with devices, the normal way of installing device drivers is to uninstall the current drivers, reboot, then install the new drivers, reboot. In troubleshooting a couple problems, i have fought with your software try and install custom drivers. Your system constantly installs its choice of drivers before i can even get a change to find, download and install the correct driver. In this case, an art development program needs Nvidia 362 drivers or earlier because it has problems with the latest drivers when rendering. Okay no problem, OR PROBLEM, BECAUSE IN USING W10.
Im in a coffee shop, trying to resolve why my super high end, but slightly older laptop's fan is on constantly in my new W10 installation. I try to run windows update and it first gets stuck at 1% downloading for an hour. Don't you have a way to stop it without killing the process and if the case is that you've coded the software to be flexible enough to handle that, why not let the users know that you can do that. If it takes 20 years, do you have a **** plan to make the customer aware that there is a minor issue there?
I could go on and on, but i'd just like to say that my computer isn't a **** telephone. I have just upgraded from W7 to W10 and i feel as though i have gotten a downgrade because of the amount of features that are missing that i had before. So when your planning how much money to put into your next products i hope you feel free to be a little bit generous considering this PILE OF **** you made. **** YOU
I just noticed you don't remember the placement of desktop icons icons when resizing the screen resolution after a re-install of the graphics cards drivers? So i get to rearrange my carefully placed 20 or so icons on the sides of my desktop again. I guess your above that now? Who, with 2 **** graphics cards in a single laptop, would need such a handy feature these days as computers are getting more and more powerful, not less...
Im a homeless, advanced computer user, living in my car trying to learn art and get a job, who just hung up on his Dad he hasn't seen in almost one year to tell him i wouldn't be good company today (because of you ****) and sorry. Thanks for W10! How many others are there? You know what, just be a man and give the **** money back to Microsoft for future development. If this effect me this way, after having used computers intensively my entire life, i just have to wonder how many people Microsoft has driven to suicide with this release. AGAIN, A SINCERE **** YOU I WISH I COULD SAY 3 INCHES FROM YOUR FACES (as a voice for many). You money grubbing sacks.
