Microsoft Family Safety not blocking websites properly

We use Microsoft Family Safety settings for our son. Recently we noticed that some of the websites we thought were blocked are accessible when he is logged in to his account. Previously the block was working.


When I go to visit his activity, the most recent date I can see is September 29, almost a week ago, so I can't look up a site and click the block option after he visits it.

I tried switching to only allowing certain sites (rather than blocking others), but even if a website is there (such as clever.com), if he goes to a page within the site, it still blocks him and he has to request permission every time. Obviously, this is not a workable solution for online school, so I have to try to block only certain sites (and as I stated above, that isn't working).


He is using a PC with Windows 10 and Microsoft Edge. I am posting this question from a different computer using Windows 8.1.
