Microsoft Edge tracks Duckduckgo users

Firstly, my home page is set up to open in Duckduckgo but it opens in Bing nevertheless. Microsoft Edge sets automatically its default search engine to Microsoft edge and does not allow to reset it to DUckduckgo. Secondly, even if I use Duckduckgo, Microsoft Edge tracks my loggings. I keep deleting the logging but is there a way to remedy it? Is there enough users to file class action suit for violating users rights ( select engine and privacy issues). Some engines allow to clear all search history upon closing the browser. Microsoft Edge does not provide this option. Although, Microsoft implies we are using Ducduckgo, they blatantly track us. Where the data go? To NSA?
