Microsoft Defender Offline scan defaults to Bitlocker instead of running scan?

I am trying to run a Microsoft Defender Offline scan on my Windows 11 Home installation on a notebook. When I do this and the PC restarts, it defaults to Bitlocker and asks for a Recovery Key. Why is this? My understanding is that Bitlocker is not installed on the Home version of Windows 11 and I did not install it myself? Thank you.
