Microsoft account took over old man account user in windows 11 sign in

Trying to sign in to my pc, initial sign in screen comes with old user MS Account name, and when I click on sign in, it pops up another window with another new ms account user name sign in (this account was created a day before on same machine with the old user signed in on the laptop). Now in this pop up I DODNT get option to change user, and even I try sign in with new ms account user proposed, it comes back to same initial sign in screen with old user name. Not at all able to sign in to my pc. Appreciate the help in resolving this.
