microphone problems after 2004 update

after updating windows 10 version 1909 to version 2004 i am having problems with my logitech c920 webcam mic, the problems i am having are , not working when i use skype, when i use the voice recorder and any other 3rd party voice recorders, But it works when i use cortana , also in my sound settings my mic is working it can hear me as the blue bar slides across to 100% as i speak, I dont understand how it works with some things but not with others
