Microphone does not get detected on connecting headphones with aux cable

I have tried multiple headphones that connect via aux cable and for none of them I could find their microphone getting detected. How do I resolve this issue?Same headphones work in other systems. In fact, the same headphones work fine if I use a dongle and connect them via thunderbolt(4) port. I have tried a lot of things to try and resolve the issue.
