Hey there, this is my first question so.. ill try to be explicit.

I have a lenovo ideapad 710S and I'm trying to use a second monitor with my laptop, using a micro HDMI-DVI cable.

When I first used the monitor(an old), it worked just fine. After 2 weeks, it either gives me a black screen, or check signal cable error.

Then, I tried another monitor(a new). Which worked just fine for 2 entire days, and then gave the same error..

I see that in my device manager, under display monitors, I only have my integrated graphic card: intel(R) HD Graphics 520

No hardware for my micro hdmi port.. is this normal? when i look at solutions there are always 2.

I also have a dual boot Ubuntu, where the problem is the same.

What i have tried:

-monitors work with another laptop just fine.

-cables work just fine too.

-win+p changing display

-change Intel graphic settings to the monitors resolution.

-tried to find the port hardware, couldn't find.

-installed monitors spesific hardwares under monitors.

-restarted, unplugged and plugged

-installed lenovo vantage and updated

-my windows is up to date

I can't find any other solutions so if you have an idea, hmu please!

Thanks
