Mic only works on sound setting's playback and sound recorder

I have a Behringer XM8500 and I've connected it to my pc using a XLR to 3.5mm cable (cus I didn't wanna buy a audio interface). The mic works perfectly when I test it by turning on the "listen to this device" option on microphone properties in sound settings and on the sound recorder app. But when I use it on normal apps like Discord or even online mic tests it sounds very glitchy and my voice is barely recorded. Attached is a screenshot of settings page I used to test the mic.
