Hello,
We have a user who has created a recurring meeting for her staff members. This meeting request occurs once a week on the same day every week at the same time. All users have accepted the meeting request series and it is successfully placed in their Outlook calendar.
What we are seeing is that when an instance of the meeting has passed, the organizer gets the calendar item for that instance added to her deleted items folder. The items are from all users who have accepted the meeting and when the meeting for that day has passed, it gets placed in the deleted items folder.
All users are using either Outlook 2013 or Outlook 2016. Most users have their mailboxes added to their mobile devices. All mailboxes are held on premise.
So far only one user is affected by this issue. Here are the steps taken so far:

- recreated the users Outlook profile (using cached mode)
- removed and added the calendar item from their calendar (organizer)
