Media Player problem

why can't i set Video settings and SRS WOW Effects in media player and it

has a dimmed status when playing DVD movies and why when i hover my mouse on

Show Names With Conference Video selection in View menu of Phone Dialer

program i receive this error in status bar:"A Dialer program appears to be

corrupt or out of date the volume controls for audio will be disabled" how

can i fix it?
