media player If I delete a song from library is it deleted from playlist?

Using Media Player, Starting a playlist and it skips songs while a message pops up saying it van't find the media. Checking to file the record in the playlist file looks good. I can do a fresh add of the song to the playlist and it plays OK but the playlist file still shows the record.
