Malware SoftwareBundler: Win32/Dartsmound

This link was from a Win10 computer, running Security Scanner to submit a support case. But it had been hacked by Microsoft and was just a link to a Win7 download for Security Scanner.


Security Scanner found but was unable to remove SoftwareBundler: Win32/Dartsmound. Neither MalwareBytes nor Sophos managed even that.


I had previously been attacked by a Trojan Patched.BM, which seemed to have hidden itself in some Acrobat files which I deleted, so reducing the problem.


I ran sfc /scannow which, not for the first time, found that wordpad.exe and/or the links and the backup file was corrupt. So I tried to delete this, but it is protected.


What next?
