Maintain per-user read and unread information for shared mailbox | Office365/Exchange Online

Hi,

I know this has been posted before but i'm just hoping there's an update to it. So far, only work-around is available but it seems to be working fine in OWA. Is there really no hope for a per-user read/unread information on shared mailboxes?
