The Vista product key has nothing to do with Microsoft Office. The product

key for a laptop is normally found on the bottom of the laptop.

Usually with preinstalled version of win the product key is on a label

afixed to the underside of the Laptop, which clearly states Windows Key

You must have activated vista, otherwise you couldnt have continued to use

it for more than a short while.

If you are now being prompted to enter a product Key, something else is

going on with your system

Hi Jen

There is yet another way other than looking into the affixed label.

'Product Key' could also be available in the windows registry. But, i

believe its in encryted form. So, you can use the Product Key finder to get

this.
