On Windows 7 PC. (am normally a Mac but on parents computer but - they dont use anymore)
Put in Product Key to access MS Office Word 2007
Then had to do a bunch of updates because not completely working. Then worked for one doc
in between all this I went on Internet Explorer (normally using Chrome on here) and did some screenshots using the Print Screen button and opened Paint, paste cropped and Saved As some jpgs and some pngs. to wherever they were saved to.
After I chose a folder so not sure where these were saved to. (probably pictures)
Then couldn't use MS Word so guess i updated. or fiddle around til got working. think had to install .net framework and 64bit, cos had interactive services detection, did microsoft fix it. but not sure if that did anything or couldnt find. closed, reopened, it downloaded or finished updating or did something, took a while and then MS word docs functioning again.
But now I go to look for these .jpgs & pngs and can't find. (the screenshots from a gmail account that opened but can no longer open to redo - something about email default configuration) - long story - Anyways I looked in the Paint and did not see but other jpgs came up that were done today and 2 days ago. I don't see in any libraries.
What is best way to find them?
1. Would there be a backup library file that would have made automatic copies on?
2. Or on hard drive or ram? (sorry dont know PC Windows MS lingo/terms)
PS Not going to do any more screenshot copy and paste on MS Paint til find.
3. I don't see any Clipboard Manager (which was suggested to check but when linked to ms site it said they no longer offer or support this because of vulnerabilities/safety)
4. or whats a good recovery tool or legit retrieval program
5. I'd like to avoid doing the old uninstall, switching back and forth or what you
6. Or some program that opens old version of Paint.
7. should i call MS Paint?
I don't want to be trying all sorts of things that can't undo and not tech savvy on pc. Would prefer if know exactly what to do rather than try this try that, if you know what I mean. Or at least some easy check first stuff okay.
Thank you (I hope) in advance
