Lost configuration and file access after Windows 11 update

When I woke the computer this morning it had lost it said "Preparing Windows" and had lost its previous configuration, that is, taskbar, desktop, etc. It also lost access to files stored on OneDrive (which was source of desktop files) and even files on offline hard drives. When I attempt to access a file, look at a picture file for example, it says Windows cannot find the path. If I attempt to access the same file Online, in OneDrive, I can open it. Is there any way to get old configuration back, and get computer working as it was yesterday? I have tried DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /R
