LOGON FAILURE WHEN REPORTING AGAINST A .CSV FILE

I am developing under Visual Studio 2022 and Crystal Reports for Visual Studio SP33. I am reporting against a .CSV file using the MS ODBC Text driver. I was able to design the report without any problems. However, when I tried to execute the report I got a logon failure message and the execution crashed. Do I need a logon ID and password for a .CSV file? If so, how do I set it?
