Locked out of windows account!

After an automatic Windows update I couldn't login to my laptop/Windows account because Windows thought my password was invalid. I tried all the Windows help procedures but they didn't help at all!To check if my password was correct I logged successfully into my Microsoft account in the Internet (using an android device). I changed the password hoping that this would synchronise the Windows password but unfortunately it didn't work. The laptop/Windows still insists the password is invalid!Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
