Locked out of my computer following windows update

I did some windows updates and rebooted my comphter. The computer started up again and when I tried to log in, it says:"Your PIN is no longer available due to a change to the security settings on this device. Click to set up your PIN again."So I clicked on "Set up my PIN", followed the ateps until the last page where it said:"Something went wrongWe weren't able to set up your PIN. You can try again, or skip this step and set up a PIN later."So I clicked "Skip for now", and it took me back to the main screen. Under "Sign in options" I clicked the password option, typed the new correct password,
