Lid options not taking effect

[Windows 11]

I have set my laptop to Do Nothing when I close the lid, but when I do close the lid, the windows open on my laptop screen are moved to another monitor I connected to my laptop. I have followed the steps in this answer Redirecting and after I followed the instructions to make Hibernation unavailable, all it changed is that the windows from the laptop screen are still moved to another monitor, but when I open the lid again, the windows move back to my laptop sc
