Latest update changed display settings???

I updated windows yesterday as my pc told me one was due. Ever since that update, I haven't been able to get my screen working. My monitor is a TV screen connected via HDMI. I have a fairly new NVIDIA graphics card.Every time I start the computer I can see the MPG logo and I can access the bios if I need to but after that, the monitor switches from HDMI to DVI and I can't see anything. I believe it is a software issue as I've tried multiple HDMI cords and multiple monitors. I've tried changing some bios settings but nothing worked so I reset them back to what they were previously.
