Laptop stuck on ‘restoring to previous version of Windows’ loop

I recently updated my laptop to the new Windows 11 24H2 update and was having a large amount of issues with loading screens and my games not running correctly/freezing. After realising that this was due to the update, I saw some guidance from Microsoft which said that you could roll back to the previous version I attempted to do this last night, however received an error stating that I needed to insert external media device and continue.
