Laptop stopped detecting headset microphone

My laptop suddenly stopped detecting the headset microphone. I tried everything that was suggested in this other question and nothing works: Redirecting have tested the microphone in other devices and it works fine. I even bought a new pair and it's still not detecting the microphone. For some reason, the laptop's internal microphone works fine and so do the output sound of the headset. It is just that as soon as I plug the headset the microphone stops working.Info:HP 15-da0011laWindows
