laptop shutsdown on removal of charger

So what the problem is that i have a hp pavilion 14 3310 laptop, the problem is that the laptop is unusable without the charger like if i unplug the battery suddenly drops to zero and it shutsdown and same if i want to start the laptop i have to plug it to power otherwise it wont start. please give me a valid solution to this problem
