Laptop randomly crashing with a black screen

Problem summary: I've got a Lenovo V15-ADA Laptop running Windows 11 which randomly crashes with a black screen. As soon as it gets stuck on a blackscreen, all peripherals go dark too, and it usually takes a manual power-off and on, though occasionally it reboots itself straight away instead. The timing of the crashes seems completely random and unrelated to the load I'm putting on the computer. At the same time, I notice random spikes at the CPU and memory utilization upwards of 90% while I'm not doing any resource intensive task and only have a browser and file explorer open, for example.
