Laptop keyboard not working on Windows 11 Pro/Home 24H2

I'm having to restart after each boot up as on first (cold) start since this update the keyboard on Lenovo laptop does not work.I've searched for updated drivers, deleted drivers in device manger, searched manufacturer site for updates. as bloody usual this "time saving" device is sucking away at my life, reinstalling updates waiting for an inordinately long bloody time at "installing = 100% " WHY do that?
