Laptop Can't Connect to Certain Network but My Phone Can

Visiting someone and my laptop can't connect to the 2.4G or 5G WiFi network directly from the router. But it can connect to the WiFi extender - which is a problem because it is unreliable.My phone connects to all networks fine.Before visiting, my laptop connected fine to all networks.
