Laptop can switch on

[Windows 10]

After turning on my Laptop it shows the light on the power button, the hard drive spin and then stops and the display is black. if i remove a Battery and then plug a charger it powers itself on automatically, if i long press the power button to switch it off, it does then powers itself off within few seconds.what can be cause of this and a fix ? thanks in advance
