Laptop blacks out at 60-80 percent battery

So I got my laptop's charger replaced by a computer store and they replaced it with another model. They said it was better and they didn't have it in stock. The charger worked and I'm mostly someone who manages to charge the laptop when the message appears and the first time the laptop shut down at 0 percent unbeknownst to me (The message didn't appear). Then I charged it and got it working again. Anyhow after that time the laptop shut down at 36 percent and something like that. I first thought it was a settings problem.
