Laptop battery Not Charging

I have issue with laptop charging, brand is Acer The problem is that when i simply put charging cable the laptop wont charge unless I hard power reset the battery from under the laptop and it is so difficult as I have to do it again and again please let me know How can I fix this.. I would appreciate if some one could help Thank you
