Lack of Permissions on Device? (0x80070005: Access Denied on services)

Recently my Audio Service just wont start, it says I don't have the permissions necessary? I've tried setting its properties to Log On as local system account, which starts the service, but no sound comes through. Along with that, my windows update service has not been able to start for some time now, giving me an error of 1297 (A privelege that the service requires to function properlly does not exist in the service account configuration) or 1053 (The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely manner) depending on what I logon as. I'm very confused on how I'm lacking
