Keyboard and mouse disconnecting

While playing video games, This happens frequently. So while playing games my keyboard and mouse stop working, I can no longer use my mouse AT all and keyboard AT ALL. After waiting for 2 minutes there's an actual usb disconnect sound. And it sends me a notification saying "usb unrecognizable". Keep in mind that this only happens during videogames and everything else, Including my headphones work while they both disconnect. This has been happening for a while now and it's extremely irritating.
