"This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. Please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Settings page."

I get this message when accessing files using the search bar in the taskbar, or using the timeline tool. I can only access files using File Explorer rendering all the good updates from Windows 10 useless. Most advice that came from peoples suggested doing something with the registry via a certain isShortcut and creating it. However, I already have that file in the first place.

I have just previously installed Windows 1909 yet the problem persists. This started from version 1903.

Hoping for any helpful response.
