I realise it may take some time for the Windows 10 roll out to come to me. But I checked my update history and found that on 2 occasions this message appeared "Upgrade to Windows 10 pro Status: failed."

So I thought for whatever reason something was preventing the upgrade. So I seeked help from the Ask desk and explained my issue and the employee proceeded to fix the issue through remote access. She did something in my registry and changed a value which then allowed the upgrade. It began upgrading and the circle loading screen appeared and was copying files. As the copying files part almost finished the screen went off and then it said something along the lines of reverting back to windows 7.

It then loaded up my desktop in windows 7 and it booted as normal but this time without the 'Get windows' icon. Whatever that employee did, she deactivated my os and it was activated prior to this ordeal. I went straight to 'Windows Update' and it said I could download Windows 10. Instead this time it was asking for a key instead of just downloading. Because Windows 7 is no longer activated it didn't automatically download. I then started talking to another support member in which he told me how to get my product key but apparently that key doesn't work. The error I was getting was: 0xC004E003

He then did the chat room equivalent of hanging up on me when my issue wasn't resolved. I now have a deactivated OS with no guidance to fix it. I'm in disbelief that a Microsoft employee has deactivated my os and nothing has been done to rectify the actions of the employee.

I can now no longer get windows 10 without buying it. So basically the employee has costed me £99.99 + a deactivated OS.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks, Rob
