Java/Shimeji-ee Program Will Not Open

I was helping my friend download the shimeji-ee necessary files (using java), all of which were working yesterday. However it seems now that it instead opens up a white screen for a millisecond then nothing happens. Neither of us have changed anything on his computer since yesterday, which is weird. I asked him if he had done anything differently, and apparently he tried reconnecting and disconnecting the internet this morning and thats when it stopped working.
