Japanese IME input buggy?

I use Japanese input a lot and it's always been somewhat buggy in my opinion.Often times when I switch to Japanese from English, it defaults to Half-width alphanumeric mode instead of my preferred Hiragana mode. So I'm constantly having to switch back and forth.Often times when I'm in MS Edge, the Japanese language will act strangely in that it will "finalize" my individual inputs before I have time to type in the next character/letter to complete a two-character/letter hiragana.If I do it quickly, I can get た (ta), but if I type normally or pause, I'll get tあ (t+individual "a").This goes furt
