Issue with opening any applications including command prompt “run” and other things

I Need help, i just started my computer today and something happens, i start up my computer and my files are all on my desktop like normal. But then it all disappears all the files on my desktop gone. And if I try to open anything like task manager or an app it says it’s open but I can’t see it, it’s invisible I tried to reset windows but no it says there’s an issue restarting it. I have an asus pc. I also have footage.
