Issue in windows activation

i have a windows 10 pro. it is a second handed laptop and it seems that it has been used for an organization and the activation page shows to connect to the organisation network to activate windows can i disconnect my system from this organisation. i have a product key from the note on the backside of my laptop but it is not working and shows some error. how do i activate my windows?
