iSCSI drive sudden performance loss after awaken from sleep or idle for too long.

I need help with the iSCSI drive, I've recently built a home lab PC with proxmox as bare metal and truenas scale as my storage solution. I've created the iSCSI drive and used the iSCSI initiator to connect to it, the performance has been great but the issue is that when the drive is idle or I put the PC to sleep and wake it up again I get a fraction of the performance. I have to restart my PC to regain the performance again, I've already tried restarting the VM and the home lab and it does not fix the performance loss issue.
