Is there a way I can replace all my drivers with ones supplied by MS?

My cursor arrow sometimes becomes resistant to my movement on the touchpad. I suspect it to be a driver conflict with the mouse/touchpad driver. I'm guilty of using a driver app to update my laptop. Before I do a re-install, it there any way for me to replace all drivers with only the ones Windows Update would have provided?I have an HP 840 laptop fully updated. I'm able to recover my touchpad function by turning my laptop off and holding the power button down for 60 seconds; this apparently resets something about the interaction of BIOS info with the laptop programming.
