Is there a 3rd part product or a registry hack to make previous versions of files work in Windows 11

Hello,I had been using using Windows for ages and Previous Versions was a tremendous improvement in Windows. Now it doesn't work any more. I'm told the same computer I used for Windows 10 doesn't have any usable drives for file history. I'm not looking for external or offline backup - I'm looking for spare space on my drive to have previous versions of my files.I looked into sync but that won't work either because I don't have my documents in my user subfolder but where it is easier for me to use with other folders such as free file sync. I just want what I used to have that worked so we
