Is Microsoft trying to terminate Copilot?

I signed up for Copilot for business through the 365 Admin Portal last year when using Copilot was really convenient. There was a tab next to the system tray and it was relatively fast in responding. I downloaded the iOS app which was also relatively responsive. Then one day the Copilot icon in the taskbar disappeared. And the Copilot app stopped being helpful. It said I needed to download a different app and use Copilot within other 365 apps. So if I have a general question because of my persistent absentmindedness, like, "What command forces a restart?" I have to open Word (or the Word app?!
