is it normal for pc to be on but have black screen during factory reset process? been a couple hours and nothing has changed

hello so i factory reset my pc yesterday and wake up on a black screen still i decided to force restart it and unplug it as well turn it back on i go to click reset again and during the reset process its still on a black screen what do i do?
