iphone not reconising itunes on my laptop

Hi can anyone help as when I plug my iphone into itunes on my laptop I do not get the pop up "trust this computer" and therefore my itunes does not recognise my iphone. This has only just happened in the last week. I have had no issues for the past 10 years. The only thing that pops up is if I want to download my pictues or I can charge my phone. It does not seem to want to recognise my itunes. I have spoken to apple and they are saying its a microsoft issue not an apple issue?My iphone is up to date and my windows is up to date.
