Hello,
I'm working on Outlook 2010 and I've recently changed my email address. This is what I did:
- I set up my new email.
- I changed predetermined email and data file to the new email and erased the older one.
- I imported the .pst file of the old email to the new email.
This is where stuff went wrong. First there was a lot of information missing, but I think it was because since it was such a large file, Indexing was taking time. So it took a while for indexing to finish, and when it finished, it displayed a great number of emails on my Inbox and even the folder structure of my old email. But inside this structure, some of these folders are empty. No emails that belonged in those folders (which had a rule to be sent there in the old email) are present NOR are they found in Inbox. BUT if I do a search in Inbox I can see them.
I selected these emails manually and transferred them to their respective folders and they can be seen there, but are still invisible in Inbox (unless I do a search).
Are rules supposed to be imported as well? Did I skip a step when importing so that I could also import (correctly) the folder structure of the old email?
