Internet (Ethernet) connection drops when playing certain games

I am asking about an issue I’m having with my gaming PC that I built a couple years ago. I’ve been playing 2 specific games lately and it has recently started dropping my internet connection after a few hours of playtime and then will shortly reestablish connection within about 5 minutes. I tried reaching out to my ISP (Spectrum) and they weren’t able to provide any substantial solution so I tried replacing my router with a gaming-grade router which has improved speeds but has not stopped the connection from dropping periodically.
