Internet connection, drivers and adapters

I am using an HP Probook 450 G1.In device manager under 'network adapters' i currently have just one adapter called 'Microsoft Kernel Debug Network Adapter'. Prior to today I had a number of adapters for Network, Bluetooth, Wireless etc and my wired and wireless internet worked fine. Also under 'Other Devices' I have 'Ethernet Controller' and 'Network Controller' with question marks against them. Obviously I therefore have no internet connection of any sort.
